Although the dictionary says ‘muscovite’ is a resident of Moscow, with the invitation by #TrumpConvictedFelon for Elon Musk to run rampant across the body of the federal infrastructure to “move fast and break things” under the banner of “Department of Government Efficiency,” now almost one month into the current presidency, it makes sense to redefine ‘muscovite’, first by respelling the word as Muskovite and second by describing how Musk’s actions and words serves the oligarchs and gangsters in Moscow instead of the taxpayers in USA.
Another redefinition is in order: the #MeToo movement has accomplished many things, but seeing the shiny new vanity plate on this Grand Rapids Tesla “trash can,” electric “cyber-truck,” it seems to be time to call this chummy salute to the richest mortal on Earth #Me-first-Too or maybe “Me-Me-Me-Too.”
Why the DOGE license plate? Since the D.O.G.E. (but coincidentally hinting at DogeCoin crypto currency with a doggy on it, also rhyming with the Italian medieval (elected) leaders of city states, the Doges) only was made public after the January 20, 2025 inauguration ceremonies, this vanity license plate is only 35 days old at the most. The Tesla cybertruck ‘trashcan’ is a physical representative of the DOGE godfather, Elon Musk, and the license plate ‘X’ also points to Musk’s ownership of the money-losing Twitter take-over and renaming it ‘X’ after dismissing many employees.
Among the many interpretations of this pricey battery truck parked at a modest house in west Michigan: homage to Elon Musk, visible display of Musk’ism for neighbors and coworkers to see, or financial support for Musk’s corporations. Or it can be a combination of these and other public and private meanings, including “me, too, I want to be the richest person on Earth."
The photo of snow-covered electric trucks is a reminder that cold weather will always be a challenge to battery-powered vehicles. It is all the more aggravating to drivers when the sticker price is so high and the CEO is so blinkered, reckless, and implicated in countless lives and livelihoods destroyed by summarily cutting off federal infrastructure, domestic and foreign, in illegal and constitutionally unwarranted actions. Interestingly, Henry Ford was also described as not being a very nice man. Maybe riches and assembly line ownership converge to make poor human beings — not the workers but the capitalists.
Hopefully, this aberrant behavior by amateur leaders is just a KGB (today called FSB) hallucination and the grown-ups will come back to administer the nation’s legislation enacted by the elected representatives of the 50 states. The Executive Branch will then stay in its lane, instead of wildly swerving into the judicial and legislative lanes. Clearly the delinquent commander-in-chief is driving under the influence (of Moscow) and #TrumpConvictedFelon is intoxicated, incapable of walking a straight line.
What good can come from a sock puppet in the White House and a stone-cold, hard-headed tycoon playing dress-up on the world’s stage.
